products that are staples in African kitchens.
3. Beverage Brand of the Year
Rewards a non-alcoholic drink brand — including juices, energy drinks, flavored
waters, powdered drinks, or traditional beverages — that stands out for its taste,
branding, and consumer connection.
4. Cereal Brand of the Year
Acknowledges a breakfast cereal brand that delivers on nutrition, taste,
packaging, and popularity among families and young consumers.
5. Herbs and Spices Brand of the Year
Recognizes a brand known for offering quality herbs, spices, or spice blends that
elevate cooking and reflect local or global flavor profiles.

NOMINATION GUIDELINES

  • Must be based in Africa (located in any African country).

  • Should have been in continuous operation for at least 12 months
  • Must demonstrate visible customer engagement, public recognition, or
    community presence.
  • Can be nominated by the public or by industry professionals.
  •  Social media presence, media features, or online reviews may be submitted as
    supporting materials.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

  • Taste and product quality
  • Customer service and/or consumer satisfaction
  • Ambience and experience (for physical establishments)
  • Originality and innovation
  • Cultural relevance or contribution to indigenous preservation (for applicable
    categories)
  • Consistency, brand reputation, and public perception
