including recipes, restaurant reviews, food culture, and culinary storytelling — while
demonstrating strong engagement and creativity in the African food space.
2. Food Blogger of the Year
Celebrates an individual blogger who has built a loyal following and influenced food
conversations through insightful posts, captivating visuals, and authentic food narratives
across their blog or website.
3. Food Programme/Content of the Year
Recognizes a compelling food show, series, podcast, or multimedia content that
showcases African culinary talent, food trends, or local ingredients, while entertaining
and informing audiences.
4. Food Influencer of the Year (Male)
Rewards a male content creator whose influence in the food space is evident through
original content, strong audience connection, and consistent food storytelling across
social platforms.
5. Food Influencer of the Year (Female)
Rewards a female content creator who inspires food trends and conversations with
authentic, visually engaging, and impactful food content across digital platforms.
6. Food Festival of the Year
Honors an event that brings food lovers together through culinary showcases, tastings,
cultural displays, and creative engagement, while promoting local cuisine and food
businesses.
7. Nutritionist of the Year
Recognizes a nutritionist or dietitian whose work has advanced public understanding of
healthy eating through education, media, or professional consultation.
8. Best Food Ad
Celebrates a creative and impactful advertisement campaign (TV, radio, print, or digital)
that effectively promotes a food product, service, or brand with originality and appeal.
9. Best Food Campaign
Rewards a multi-platform campaign (e.g. brand awareness, social impact, or product
launch) that creatively connects with audiences and demonstrates strong results within
the food ecosystem.
NOMINATION GUIDELINES
- Must be based in Africa (located in any African country).
- Should have been in continuous operation for at least 12 months.
- Must demonstrate visible customer engagement, public recognition, or
community presence. - Can be nominated by the public or by industry professionals.
- Social media presence, media features, or online reviews may be submitted as
supporting materials.
NOMINEE CRITERIA
- Taste and product quality
- Customer service and/or consumer satisfaction
- Ambience and experience (for physical establishments)
- Nominees must have publicly accessible work, business, or content showcasing
their culinary identity. - Originality and innovation
- Cultural relevance or contribution to indigenous preservation (for applicable
categories)
